I think that my main goal in this is to get people to express their reactions to my product and show their support. With this product in particular I want to show that I can productively get this done in a productive and creative way while preserving the style and professionalism of the sock.
A lot of people depend on the socks to have a sleek design and not show but my struggle is that if I put something on the sock it will be very uncomfortable in the shoe and bother you all day. Although I did have the idea of having a tie around your ankle but then that compromises the look of the no show and I think that it wouldn’t look as sleek.
If I were to take this business plan into action, I think that a good place to try this is at markets selling at a table just to get it out there and let people know that there is something out there for them like this.
I don’t have a lot of business experience, but I do think that the assignments that we have done thus far have prepared me with an army of people that I could use to build my business and help to get the product out there.
One of the main things that I have to work on is actually forming the product and then figuring out how I will market the packaging to show that these are new and going to be a big thing.
If I am too bland with the packaging, then most people won’t even see that there is a difference in them and the socks around them in stores.
After I have formulated a plan for that I think that I will look into how to actually put this product into fruition into the stores.
Once I have a contract with a store to try it out and show that I have reputable sales then I can start to build my business into a more corporate style business.
I think it’s important to start out small and build from there.
Great post Brynn! I think you did a great job outlining your business venture concept. I think your idea for this version of a no show sock is one that certainly has potential. I thought it was interesting that you would start your business by selling you socks at a table in a market setting. I think this venture has potential that you could see through to be successful.

I think this is so important because if you don’t have a good why, there is nowhere for your business to grow. Taking the next steps for your business seems like the best option especially with all of your ideas to change up the packaging and get people more interested. Great job!

ReplyDeleteI definitely think your no show sock idea has potential. I personally think the best way for you to get your product on the market is by using social media. No show socks are in-style right now, especially with teenagers, so it is the perfect time to use them to help advertise your product. I think a good idea would be to give a few out for free so that people can wear them around and tell others what your product is. I also agree with you that it is a good idea to have good packaging. Nice work!
