Elon Musk (13A)

1)   I read about Elon Musk
a.    What surprised me the most was that he learned to program when he was 10 years old.
b.    I most admired how dedicated he was to his work.
c.    I least admired that although he is very intelligent, it made him an outcast
d.    He didn’t really encounter any adversity other than the fact that he was young when his parents got divorced.
2)   I noticed he experienced a lot of motivation, diligence, and he was hard working
3)   The part that was confusing to me was how he went through this divorce of parents and his parents checked his ears if he was deaf. I think you can pretty much tell if someone can’t hear.
4)   I would ask what started a spark in him so young? Do you think success is imbedded in you or you can work towards it?

5)   I think some people don’t think of hard work in the same sense most people do. I think he probably was doing the hard work but actually enjoyed what he was doing so its enjoyable.

  1. Great post Brynn! I think you picked an interesting book and I think you did a good job talking about it. I was surprised to find out that Elon musk learned to code when he was only ten years old. I have not read this particular book yet, but I think I agree with you that He seems like a very motivated and intelligent person.

  2. Hi Brynn! It seems like you enjoyed reading about Elon Musk and I am especially impressed with how dedicated Elon was to his work. I think it was interesting how young he was when he learned to program. I can’t imagine learning how to code as a 10-year-old! I also think you brought up a very interesting point of how some people think of hard work differently because they actually enjoy what they are doing, it’s not just some job they hate.
